According to the forecaster, high pressure will dominate over the weekend, bringing "dry settled weather, with a good lot of sunshine."
Met Éireann says it will be warm with temperatures in the high teens to the low 20s.
However, the country will see a "gradual change to more unsettled weather" early next week when it will turn cooler.
Meanwhile, it will be "mostly cloudy" today with some bright or sunny spells, mainly in the east and south.
Highest temperatures may reach 19C where it will be warmest in the midlands and east, and coolest in the west and north, and along the south coast.
Thursday will be a dry day with a "good deal of cloud" and "some good spells of sunshine".

Friday will also be a dry day with "plenty of sunshine developing." Highest temperatures of 18C to 22C are predicted.

There is likely to be more cloud around on Sunday, with some heavy showers likely to break out.
There is also "the chance of a few thunderstorms" but a "good lot of dry weather is likely too, with some further spells of sunshine" according to Met Éireannn.
A "more persistent spell of rain" may move in from the west but it will still be warm, "especially in the midlands and east."
Highest temperatures in these areas could reach 21C, but across the northwest, west, and southwest, temperatures could drop back between 14C to 18C.
