Man, 20s, in serious condition in hospital following Dublin assault

Gardaí appealed for witnesses and an incident room has been set up at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

Gardaí have launched an investigation after an assault in Dublin which has left a man in a serious condition in hospital. 

The incident happened on Thursday morning at St Cuthbert's Park in Clondalkin, Dublin 22. 

According to gardaí, the victim in his 20s sustained "multiple lacerations" during the incident and was rushed by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital. His condition is described as "serious but stable". 

The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination and an incident room has been established at Ballyfermot Garda Station. 

A spokesperson said the investigation is being led by a Garda senior investigating officer and, as yet, no arrests have been made.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses. Anyone with mobile phone, CCTV, or dashcam footage from the area at the time has been urged to come forward and provide this footage to investigating gardaí.
