Controversial redress scheme for mother and baby home survivors to open on March 20

The long-awaited controversial redress scheme for mother and baby home survivors will open on March 20, the Minister for Children has announced.

The compensation scheme — the most expensive in the history of the State — is expected to cost around €800m.
