Almost 12,000 customers remain without power following storms

The worst hit areas are predominantly in counties Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Cavan and Longford.

Almost 12,000 customers remain without power following the aftermath of Storms Isha and Jocelyn, which ravaged the country over the past week.

All available ESB networks resources, alongside over 50 workers from from the UK, have been employed to restore power in the worst-impacted areas from Thursday morning.
