Temperatures to plummet to -4C over the weekend as cold spell continues

Met Éireann advisory has warned of 'widespread frost and icy patches, leading to hazardous travelling conditions'.

The cold spell that has dominated over the past few days will continue, with Met Éireann saying the temperature will plummet to lows of -4C this weekend.

However, it is expected to remain dry with sunny spells, as high pressure will prevent any significant rainfall.
