Revenue issues warning to anyone who has been paid for withdrawing planning appeals

People who have received payments in exchange for withdrawing planning appeals could face “serious consequences” should they not declare those payments, the Revenue Commissioners have said.

Earlier this week RTÉ Investigates revealed details of planning appeals made by brothers John and Micheal Callaghan being withdrawn in exchange for cash payments from developers ranging in size between €10,000 and €50,000.
