Rosslare residents seek emergency meeting over plans to accommodate asylum seekers in area

Residents in Rosslare are calling for an emergency meeting of Wexford County Council over plans to convert a former hotel into accommodation for international protection applicants.

Over the weekend, protests were held in the town and Rosslare Europort was blockaded over the proposal to accommodate 400 more asylum seekers in the former Great Southern Hotel.
