'Ireland's greenhouse gas emissions targets will not be met'

Energy projections for Ireland "present a stark reality" that Ireland's greenhouse-gas emissions obligations will not be met, not even with the most ambitious plans.

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) said that new measures, combined with an acceleration of  existing ones, are  necessary to comply with Ireland’s legally binding carbon budgets.
