Watch: Palestinians gather at Rafah border, hoping to cross into Egypt

Fleeing Israel's continuous shelling of Gaza, many Palestinians and foreign nationals flocked towards the Rafah Crossing on Monday, hoping to make it across the Egyptian border.

"There is no safety, even when you're at the crossing you're afraid. On our way to the crossing they shelled Rafah Street and we started screaming. We came to the crossing and thought it was safe. Nowhere is safe in Gaza. Wherever we go there's shelling, shelling, crying, screaming, blood. Said Gazan resident Hadeel Abu Dahoud.
