Temperatures could hit the mid-20s this weekend as the unseasonably warm start to the month of October continues.

Met Éireann says that tropical air moving up across the country may even result it temperatures as high as 24C this afternoon, which would be close to Ireland’s all-time October record of 25.2C, set at Clongowes College in Kildare on October 3, 1908.
