A man and a woman were injured after being attacked by a dog in Dublin on Tuesday.

Gardaí responded to the scene of an incident in a house in Crumlin at around 12.30pm.

A male suffered facial injuries while a female suffered arm injuries. 

Both individuals were taken to hospital for medical treatment. 

The dog was seized by the local dog warden. 

It has since been put down.
