Eamon Ryan to bring memo on road speeds to Cabinet after spike in deaths

The Government is to consider a plan to reduce road speeds across the country in the wake of several deaths on Irish roads.

It comes after a senior Garda said that reducing speed limits on some rural roads should be looked at as a way to tackle rising crash death rates.
