Man charged after woman’s body found in Dundalk

A man has been charged as part of the murder investigation into the death of a woman in Co Louth.

The body of a woman in her 60s was found at a property on Bridge Street in Dundalk on Wednesday, May 24.

The man, in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held at a Louth garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

He is expected to appear before a special sitting of Dundalk District Court at 9:30pm this evening.

Investigations are continuing.
