Pro-choice campaigners warn of fresh protests if abortion law reforms delayed

Delays in implementing reforms to Ireland’s abortion laws will trigger the return of major pro-choice campaigning and rallies, a leading activist has warned.

Ailbhe Smyth, who was the co-director of the Together for Yes campaign in the 2018 referendum on liberalising the law, called on the Government to show leadership and deliver the changes recommended by an independent review of the current legal framework.
