Gardaí to crack down on illegal fireworks in run up to Halloween

Gardaí have warned that people caught with illegal fireworks will be brought to court, as the force is to step up its searches in border areas.

It comes as the Department of Justice launched its annual fireworks campaign at the Garda headquarters in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
