Woman fatally assaulted at Co Meath house named locally

A man has been arrested following the assault and is currently being detained.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal assault of a woman in her 20s in Athboy, Co Meath today. 

The woman has been named locally as Larisa Serban. She is believed to be from Eastern Europe and had recently moved to the area.
