8,058 new cases confirmed as Ireland sees 6,200 Covid-19 deaths over past two years

A further 8,058 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed this evening by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC).

4,158 cases were confirmed via PCR testing while the remaining 3,900 came from positive antigen test results registered on the HSE portal on Tuesday.
