11 Irish citizens evacuated from Afghanistan as protesters in Dublin criticise Taliban regime

Eleven Irish citizens and their family members have been evacuated from Afghanistan, the Minister for Foreign Affairs has said.

Simon Coveney said on Sunday evening that the group availed of a flight over the weekend arranged through diplomatic channels.
