Patients' group calls for taskforce meetings on ED overcrowding

The Emergency Department (ED) task force needs to reconvene to tackle the rising number of people on trolleys, the Irish Patients’ Association (IPA) has said.

A record 118,367 patients waited for a bed on trolleys in 2019, according to figures by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
