Man hospitalised after Dublin city centre assault

The man was attacked this afternoon in Dublin.

A man in his 20s has been hospitalised after an assault in Dublin city.

The assault took place in St Stephen's Green in the city centre at around 4.30pm this afternoon.

He was taken to St James's Hospital in Dublin to be treated for his injuries.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident. 

Investigations into the assault are ongoing.
