Retired superintendent hits out at Limerick Garda probe
Henry Street Garda Station, Limerick.
A retired senior garda has told the that morale among gardaà in Limerick “has never been so low” and that “members are almost afraid of doing their jobs, of making a phone call or sending a text” because of a major investigation into the cancelling of fixed charge notices for road traffic offences.
Retired superintendent Sean Corcoran says the investigation is completely disproportionate to any alleged cancelling of FCNs. He has also questioned the basis for the investigation.Â
