Varadkar: Move to level 4 or level 5 will only happen if we feel it's necessary

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar said that the Government does not take the decision to increase restrictions lightly.

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has said it is "heartbreaking" that 60,000 people have had to go on the Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) following the introduction of further restrictions around the country.

The entire country joined Dublin and Donegal earlier this week on level 3 of the Government's Living with Covid-19 plan and as a result the hospitality sector has largely had to shut once again.
