Rugby confident of restart despite Munster player's positive Covid test
An unnamed Munster academy player has tested positive for Covid-19.

Irish Rugby remains confident the professional game’s restart here will go ahead as scheduled in eight days despite Munster reporting a first positive Covid-19 test in a player in this country.

Munster are due to resume their Guinness PRO14 campaign against Leinster behind closed doors at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on August 22, the first professional game on these shores since February 29 due to the pandemic.
