170 new daily coronavirus infections possible in Ireland within weeks

Ireland could record up to 170 new coronavirus cases per day within weeks if worst-case scenarios transpire, experts advising the Government said.

Ireland paused plans to relax social movement restrictions and pubs which do not serve food will remain closed until at least August 10 amid fears of increased spread.
