A woman has died following a house fire in Co Meath.

It happened yesterday in Navan.

The blaze is believed to have broken out at around 6pm.

The fire service extinguished the fire and found the remains of a woman in her 40s.

Her body was taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan.
