'Dropping our guard' could lead to second wave of 'shape shifter' coronavirus, says doctor

Covid-19 is a "shape shifter virus" stealthily entering Ireland's hospitals in unexpected guises, a leading emergency medicine doctor has warned.

Dr Chris Luke, who returned from academia to fight the virus on the frontline as a consultant in emergency medicine at the Mercy Hospital in Cork said that we are still at the early stages of the pandemic.
