Insurers urged to give refunds to drivers to lessen Covid impact

The failure to pay out in some cases has reinforced the minister’s view “that some insurers were doing the industry significant damage and were not treating customers fairly”.

Motorists should be given refunds on their insurance policies because of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, says Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe.
