'I am not keeping my father's secrets any more': Jail for man who sexually abused his daughter for six years

A father who sexually abused his daughter for six years and had previously forced her to write a letter withdrawing the allegations has been given an eight-and-a-half-year sentence.

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard when she first disclosed the abuse as a nine year old, she was beaten and isolated in a bedroom for several days without access to the bathroom.
