Burglar who asked for woman's number after raping her twice returned to prison after breaching suspended sentence terms

A serial burglar who broke into a woman’s house and repeatedly raped her in 2011 has been returned to prison after he breached the terms of suspended sentence by committing more burglaries.

Gerard Kane (aged 43) received a 12-year sentence with three final three years suspended in 2012. He was released from prison in August 2018 and committed two burglaries in January 2019.
