A man has been awarded €500 after the High Court found he was subject to a "fleeting defamation" during an incident in which he claimed a Luas tram security guard had racially profiled him and his brother.

A man has been awarded €500 after the High Court found he was subject to a "fleeting defamation" during an incident in which he claimed a Luas tram security guard had racially profiled him and his brother.

Leon Diop (24), Ashgrove, Springfield, Tallaght, Co Dublin, sued Luas operators Transdev Dublin Light Rail and STT Risk Management which provides security on the tram.
