A substitute teacher who had sex with her 16-year-old pupil incorrectly thought this was the legal age of consent, a court has heard

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that the woman was aged 23 at the time of both offences and that she waited until the boy's 16th birthday before engaging in sexual activity on a date in early 2018. The pair had met sometime before this in an over-18s nightclub.
