Woman hospitalised following house fire in Limerick

A woman in her 40s has been hospitalised following a house fire in Limerick overnight.

Emergency services were called to the blaze on the Shanabooley Road in Ballynanty just before 2.30am.

The woman was rescued from the scene and taken to Limerick Regional Hospital, where her condition is described as critical.

The fire has yet to be established and gardaí enquires are ongoing.
