'Today is a good day for nature in Ireland' - Govt opts to not extend hedge-cutting into birds' nesting period

The Government has decided not to allow hedge-cutting in August saving the lives of thousands of birds.

Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Ms Josepha Madigan, TD, announced her decision today.
