The President and the Taoiseach have paid tribute to one of the country’s favourite all-round entertainers, Brendan Grace, who has died at the age of 68 after a short illness.

The veteran entertainer, who was a singer, stand-up comedian, and actor died at 12.26am yesterday, surrounded by his family, after being diagnosed with lung cancer 10 days ago, his manager confirmed.
