'This is a regrettable incident' - Camogie star Ashling Thompson ordered to pay €6k for assaulting two women

All-Star camogie player Ashling Thompson avoided criminal convictions for assaulting two young women at a nightclub in Cork on her undertaking to pay €6,000 to family refuge charities and to cover witness expenses.

Judge Con O’Leary said he could not understand the media fascination with the case.
