High Court hears former owner of investment property broke down door to re-assert ownership

A man whose investment property was taken over by a receiver admitted breaking down its door in an attempt to re-assert ownership, the High Court heard.

Philip O'Brien owned the residential property at Poleberry in Waterford which he bought with a mortgage from Investec Bank and which he defaulted on.
