US president Donald Trump will meet with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar during a brief visit to Ireland on June 6.

Diplomatic sources have confirmed government officials last week scoped out potential venues for the bi-lateral meeting, including the five-star Co Clare-based Dromoland Castle.
