'I'm still leaving here with cancer', says mother after €2.5m cervical smear settlement

A mother of two who is terminally ill with cancer and who sued in relation to the alleged misinterpretation of her CervicalCheck smear slide today settled her case for €2.5m.

A mother of two who today settled a case over an alleged misinterpretation of her CervicalCheck smear slide has said she was left with no choice except to take her case to court.

Outside court the couple's solicitor Cian O'Carroll read a statement on the woman's behalf.
