€1m ‘new look’ facelift for RTÉ sports studio

RTÉ is to spend almost €1m on a hi-tech video wall to enhance its sports programming, along with studio lighting upgrades for shows including The Sunday Game and Soccer Republic.

A €1.4m revamp of RTÉ’s news studio was revealed last month, despite a €6.4m loss being recorded in the national broadcaster’s most recent annual accounts. The upgrade included LED walls and HD camera systems.
