New drink-driving rules to take effect from tonight

New rules on drink-driving are to take effect from tonight which will automatically disqualify any motorists who are found to have consumed alcohol.

The commencement of the provisions of the Road Traffic (Amendment) Act 2018 from midnight was announced by Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Shane Ross today.
