A man who was being questioned by gardaí investigating the murder of a pensioner in his home on the southside of Cork City on Monday has been released without charge.

A man who was being questioned by gardaí investigating the murder of a pensioner in his home on the southside of Cork City on Monday has been released without charge.

The man, 22, was released from garda custody last night and a garda spokesman said a file will now be prepared for the DPP.
