Bertie Ahern says Taoiseach is ’doing well but has a bit to go’ to surpass his popularity record

Bertie Ahern says Leo Varadkar is doing well as Taoiseach, but has not surpassed his record in Government just yet.

An opinion poll in the Irish Times yesterday claimed Varadkar’s 60% approval rating makes him the most popular leader since 2007, when the ex Fianna Fáil head was in charge.
