Abortion debate: 'Eighth Amendment saved many lives, and we are talking about repealing it' - Healy Rae

A Dail debate on the report of the Joint Committee on the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution took place this evening.

Update 9.45pm:  TDs and Senators have been setting out their arguments for and against abortion.

Legislators will continue the debate on the Oireachtas committee recommendations tomorrow evening.
