Researchers predict lower energy bills as ageing power plants are closed

Ageing and inefficient power plants are set to be shut down in a boost for consumers' pockets, energy researchers said.

It is part of a shake-up in the Single Electricity Market which covers the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
