FG vote unanimously to support Tánaiste in late-night emergency meeting as threat of general election looms

Latest: Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy has said that the government is standing behind Tanaiste Frances Fitzgerald, as the threat of a general election looms tonight.

Update 10.38pm: Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has led a strong defence of the Tanaiste at the emergency Fine Gael meeting tonight in Leinster House.

The meeting voted unanimously to support the Tánaiste-after calls for her to go over the mishandling of the Maurice McCabe email saga.
