Man who told daughter he would shoot her mother if she spoke of abuse is jailed for 11 years

A man who brought a shotgun to his nine-year-old daughter's bedroom when he sexually abused her and said he would shoot her mother if she told anyone what had happened, has been given a 11-and-a-half year sentence.

His daughter, now a mother herself, said she could not imagine how anyone could hurt their child.
