Update 2.39pm: A spokesperson for Irish Cement has confirmed that despite earlier reports, no one was trapped in an elevator on its plant in Mungret, Co Limerick.

"Emergency services attended Mungret factory this morning when a contractor working on site suffered a leg injury," the statement read.
