Update: HSE pledge to work with family but mum of autistic son pleads for immediate intervention

A Dublin mother whose emotional Facebook appeal has now been viewed over 60,000 times has called on the HSE to act now to provide "nothing more" than the desperate care her son needs, writes Ciara Phelan.

Update 6pm: The HSE commented: “The Minister (Simon Harris) is very aware of this very difficult case and has been in direct contact with the HSE in relation to it.

“Everyone is working hard to find a resolution to this.”
