The Government is looking to pass unprecedented legislation to help assist in Legacy Cases in Northern Ireland.

It means a garda could give evidence on what the force knows about the Kingsmill shooting via a court in the Republic of Ireland, the foreign affairs minister Simon Coveney said last night.
