Luas works to cause further travel disruptions ahead of rematch at Croke Park

Commuters in Dublin are facing travel disruption again today as cross city works continue on the Luas.

Extensive disruptions are in place around the O'Connell Bridge area, which caused major traffic delays yesterday.

Visitors to the city are advised to use public transport where possible.

Ruth Jepson from AA Roadwatch has advised those going to Croke Park to avoid the city centre.

"A lot of people at the east side coming from the west, you are advised to use the M50 rather than going in through the city," she said.

"Use the M50 to go north-bound and down in towards Drumcondra if you are heading to Croke Park from the M1 and M50 interchange side and to avoid the city centre where possible."
